Claudia Pond Eyley and Dan Salmon on 'Helen Clark: Inside Stories' - AKL

Registration is closed for this event

During 2012–2013, Claudia and Dan interviewed a host of participants about the life of Helen Clark: family, friends and opponents, journalists, civil servants and diplomats. The resulting transcripts from those interviews, woven together here into a compelling narrative, offer a brilliantly multi-faceted, inside account of Helen Clark’s life and career - Helen Clark: Inside Stories.

They created the ‘short version’ in a documentary for television and this a long version, an encyclopaedic book, edited into themes and issues to remind us and  provide insight into the tumult that accompanied her political career. This is an edited work of people who were there, sometimes reflective, sometimes angry. We are taken inside the major political developments of the last fifty years. This is a frank, revealing account of Helen Clark and her world.
