{jcomments off}The Fabian Society has recently published an ebook entitled Flawed Theory – Failed Practice: Light-handed Regulation in New Zealand.

The book brings together a series of case studies presented to the Fabian Society on the application of light-handed regulation in New Zealand to sectors and issues as diverse as banking, work safety, building and construction, and electricity pricing, as well as an examination of the theoretical issues involved in the regulation.

The general application of the theory is examined in terms of its effects which, in many cases, have been deleterious. This volume is offered as a contribution to the ongoing debate about effective regulation in New Zealand.

The book can be downloaded in PDF, ePub and Mobi formats from our publications section.
