Aotearoa New Zealand and conflict prevention: building a truly independent foreign policy
    » Register Now
New Zealand Alternative was established in 2018 by a group of New Zealanders with a commitment to an independent, values-driven foreign policy for our South Pacific nation – a New Zealand alternative. Last October the organisation released a detailed publication on the role Aotearoa New Zealand could play in conflict prevention and peace mediation. Thomas Nash, Co-Director of New Zealand Alternative, will talk through the report and its recommendations. Thomas has a background in setting up and running organisations and campaigns overseas. He ran the global campaign to ban cluster bombs and co-founded London-based disarmament organisation Article 36. He is also an adjunct lecturer in politics and Social Entrepreneur in Residence at Massey University.
