The Tomorrow’s Schools Independent Taskforce was asked by the government to review Aotearoa New Zealand’s schooling system in relation to its ability to promote equity and excellence for all children and young people. Cathy Wylie will describe the work that led to the taskforce’s report and recommendations, and the changes in culture, relationships, processes and structures that the taskforce concludes are needed, before inviting questions and discussion. Cathy Wylie is a Chief Researcher at NZCER. Her main research expertise is education policy and how it impacts on learning, teaching, school leadership and more equal learning opportunities.
