Zoom - Charles Waldegrave - Addressing the Systemic Housing Crisis

Registration is closed for this event

High rents, low homeownership, lack of supply, homelessness and reliable international ratings showing NZ housing to be one of the most unaffordable in the world, demonstrates a systemic housing crisis. It is not being adequately addressed, but it can be. We have done it before!

Charles Waldegrave is Coordinator of the Family Centre Social Policy Research Unit and also works as Co-Vicar at St Peters on Willis Street. He led the housing workstream as a member of the Welfare Expert Advisory Group and leads the team that sets NZ’s Living Wage annually. He also co-led the NZ Poverty Measurement Project which developed 7 of the 10 measures of poverty in the PM’s Child Poverty Reduction Act 2018 – they include housing costs.
