Mike Smith, Chair of the NZ Fabians, made an interesting guest post on Public Address today. Mike made the points that that the so-called "best practice orthodoxy' of the last twenty years is now just another discredited dogma and that the idea that "there is no alternative" in fiscal matters has stifled debate for too long and is no longer acceptable.
